A local gas station employee was robbed at gunpoint as he was dropping off checks and cash at a credit union near on Wednesday afternoon, DeKalb County police said.

The 30-year-old man parked his car behind at 1059 Mistletoe Rd. and was planning to drop off checks and about $2,500 in cash from a North Druid Hills-area gas station at about 12:40pm, the police report said.

He was walking toward the bank when one of the suspects ran from behind him and forced him to the ground. The man pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him.
