Manager: Armed Man Robs Family Dollar Twice in One Month

The store manager of the North Decatur Road store told police the man who robbed her store Sept. 30 did the same thing a month ago.

An armed man robbed the store on North Decatur Road on Sept. 30 – for the second time in a month, DeKalb County police said.

The suspect walked into the store at 2615 North Decatur Rd. and pointed a black revolver at the store manager and her employee at about 8:40pm, the police report said. The man approached the register and said, “Come on, come on, you know what it is, give me the money out of the safe.”

The manager opened the safe and register, took out the money and put it on the counter in front of the suspect. The suspect told her and her employee to go to the back of the store, and they did. When they returned, the money and suspect were gone. Surveillance cameras did catch the incident. No injuries were reported.
