Merry Hills Area Suffers Rash of Auto Break-Ins

Thieves have broken into seven autos since Dec.7 in that area.

The Merry Hills neighborhood area has suffered a rash of auto break-ins over the last week, according to DeKalb County police.

The incidents, as reported on CrimeMapping.com, are:

  • 1600 block of Lavista Road at 8:20 p.m. Dec. 7
  • 2400 block of Briarcliff Road at 2 a.m. Sunday
  • 1600 block of Lavista Road at 6:30 p.m. Sunday
  • 2100 block of Lavista Road at 6:15 p.m. Monday
  • 1600 block of Lavista Road at 7:15 p.m. Monday
  • 1400 block of Lachona Court at 10 p.m. Tuesday
  • 500 block of Beechcliff Drive at 4 a.m. Wednesday

A home in the 1700 block of North Holly Lane was also reported burglarized at about 8 a.m. Thursday.

The Merry Hills neighborhood is framed by Briarcliff Road on the west, North Druid Hills Road on the north and Lavista Road on the south.
