Oak Grove Considers Watch Program in Response to Recent Crimes
A group of residents will meet Nov. 17 to consider forming a Neighborhood Watch program to combat crime in the community.
Got notice of this from Virginia Sowell (thanks): Some Oak Grove residents are interested in creating a Neighborhood Watch program in response to a series of crimes that have occurred over the last several months throughout the community.
From an email from Joshua Mikelson sent out to residents:
There will be a meeting on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.Β in the sanctuary of for anyone interested in forming an Oak Grove Neighborhood Watch. There have been several incidents recently, which are of concern to the neighborhood. A member of the DeKalb County Police Department will be present at the meeting to discuss the recent incidents, and what we can do as residents to watch out for each other. Please consider attending the meeting. For more information, please check out: http://groups.google.com/group/neighborhoodwatchoakgrove
