Armed robbers steal jewelry from Buford Highway pawn shop
Two armed men robbed a Buford Highway pawn shop Monday afternoon and fled with about $600 in jewelry, DeKalb County police said.

The suspects walked into the pawn shop at 4230 Buford Highway and placed a DVD player on the counter at about 1:37pm, according to the police report. After walking around the store, trying to appear like normal customers, one of the suspects put a revolver to the store manager's neck and told him to get on the ground. The second suspect, also carrying a handgun, demanded three customers and several store employees also get on the ground.

The first suspect went upstairs and demanded that a second shop manager open the shop's safe, the report said. The manager told the suspect that the safe was on a timer, and he couldn't open it. The first suspect then returned downstairs and forced a manager to open a locked jewelry display counter. After fumbling with the keys, the manager opened the case, activating an alarm.
