Thief Pulls Knife on Target Customer Who Tries to Stop Him
The customer ran back into the store after the thief pulled a knife on him after he tried to leave the store with a DVD player under his jacket Oct. 25.
A man attempted to stop a robber at on North Druid Hills Road on Oct. 25 but was thwarted when the robber pulled a knife on him, DeKalb County police said.
The man saw the suspect put a Philips DVD player worth $65 under his jacket and try to leave the store, so he grabbed the suspect in a bear hug and tried to detain him. The suspect reached for a knife with a seven- or eight-inch blade, pulling away from the man and taking a defensive stance, so the man ran back into Target, and the suspect fled toward North Druid Hills Road. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera.
The suspect was described as a black male, 5 feet 7 inches, 145 pounds, about 35 to 40 years old, wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans, a green hat and black tennis shoes.
