Toco Hill Wendy's Restaurant Robbed at Gunpoint

Two armed men robbed the North Druid Hills Road fast food restaurant just before 10pm on Saturday.

Two men robbed the restaurant in Toco Hill at gunpoint Saturday night, DeKalb County police said.

An employee was about the lock the doors at the restaurant at 2957 North Druid Hills Road when two men walked into the front door and into the bathroom just before 10pm, the police report said. 

The men came out of the bathroom and asked if they were still serving food. The employee said yes and walked into the kitchen area. When she turned around, she realized the two men had followed her into the kitchen. One of the men was holding a black handgun.

Both men yelled at the employees, screaming, "Give it up!" while demanding their cell phones, the report said. One of the robbers demanded the manager open the restaurant's safe, and she did. 

A witness outside the restaurant said he saw the two men flee the store and run west along North Druid Hills Road.

About $1,200 was taken from the restaurant.
