Two Burglaries Reported in North Briarcliff

The DeKalb County Police Department finally updated its crime map this week (hopefully for good), so I'll be able to return to some crime reporting tomorrow. But this came in over email Tuesday from the North Briarcliff Civic Association.

From the email:

When:  During the Weekend of Aug 17
Where:  Hawthorne Drive
What:  Two professional grade aluminum ladders (a 6’ and an 8’ model) were stolen from the homeowner’s garage.

When : 8/21/12 1115 am.
Where : Lake Flair Circle
What : Garden Tiller taken from behind car inside garage.

Reminder:
*At all times, keep doors locked, garage doors closed and locked, entry doors from the garage locked --- even when family members are at home.
*Vehicles should always be locked, even inside a closed garage.
*Strangers drive through our community looking for quick and easy targets.
*Taking these simple precautions will slow down any potential thief, who will likely move on to greener pastures.
