Board of Commissioners To Meet About New McDonald's

A meeting is being held Tuesday night on the rezoning.

A new McDonald's may soon take shape in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area if the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners gives its approval.

The fast food company has applied for two with the county, one to construct a new property and the other to allow drive-through service at the new property.

This new McDonald's would look like the picture at the right, which is a common redesign for many locations in the metro area. It would be located at 3885 Buford Highway and 3316 Clairmont Road, which is near the Skye Hill Kroger and not far from an existing McDonald's location on Buford Higway. That location may close to make way for this one. Considering the less-than-stellar reviews that it has on Google, this may very well be the plan.

The board will have a meeting Tuesday night at 6:30pm in the Maloof Auditorium (1300 Commerce Dr., Decatur) to vote on rezoning permits and hear public comments.
