County Offering Free Spaying, Neutering for Dogs, Cats This Month

To take advantage of the service, you must own the animal and stop by the county's shelter in Decatur.

DeKalb County is offering residents to have their dogs or cats spayed and neutered for free.

Residents can come by the county shelter at 845 Camp Rd., Decatur, Monday through Friday, 10am - 5pm and Saturday from 10am - 4pm to pick up a voucher.

The program is for owned animals only and not for rescue shelters. The free service is available through February.
