Early Voting Continues in DeKalb

Nearly 5,000 voters have taken advantage of early voting in the July 31 general primary election.

Since early voting for the July 31 General Primary, Nonpartisan and Special Election kicked off earlier this month, 4,898 voters have hit the polls in DeKalb County, with an additional 3,305 absentee ballots received by mail. Voters wishing to avoid the lines on Election Day, set for July 31, have until July 27 to cast early ballots.

Now until July 27, residents can vote at the Voter Registration & Elections' main office, including the Accessible-only Poll, 4380 Memorial Drive in Decatur. The polls will be open from 7am to 7pm through July 27. In addition, the following voting locations are now open to accommodate voters:

Downtown Decatur – Clark Harrison Building
330 W. Ponce de Leon, Room A
Decatur, GA 30030
Hours: 7am - 7pm

South DeKalb – Community Achievement Center Inc.
4522 Flat Shoals Parkway
Decatur, GA 30034
Hours: 7am - 7pm

North DeKalb – Chamblee City Hall

Chamblee, GA 30341
Hours: 7am - 7pm

East DeKalb – New Bethel AME
8350 Rockbridge Road
Lithonia, GA 30058
Hours: 7am - 7pm

Tucker Recreation Center
4898 LaVista Road
Tucker, GA 30084
Hours: 7am - 7pm

Disabled and senior voters are encouraged to cast their ballots in the specially designed ADA Accessible Polling Place at the Memorial Drive location. This optional polling place will provide space specifically designed to accommodate the needs of disabled and senior voters.
