Free X-Mas Tree Shredding Location at Home Depot

Need to get rid of your Christmas tree? DeKalb County can help you out through Saturday.

The county's Keep DeKalb Beautiful asks DeKalb County residents to recycle their Christmas trees after the holidays through the DeKalb County Sanitation Division’s Curbside Recycling Program or by drop-off at the Seminole Road Landfill and three Home Depot locations across the county (one of which is in North Druid Hills).

DeKalb residents receiving sanitation services can place their tree at the curb for pick-up on regular yard debris collection day. Trees should not exceed four feet in length for curbside pick-up. The recycled trees will be chipped into mulch or used as wildlife habitat. Mulch is used for public beautification projects and is free to DeKalb residents. Christmas tree recycling drop-off locations are listed below:

The county averages 10,000 trees recycled each year. Last year, more than 200,000 trees were recycled in Georgia.
