Lakeside City Alliance to Hold Northlake Fundraiser

The Lakeside City Alliance will hold a fundraiser next week in Northlake.
The event will be held at Marlow's Tavern, 4156 Lavista Road, on Tuesday, April 2 from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., according to a notice the group sent out the its followers Saturday.
The Lakeside City Alliance is studying the creation of a new city loosely based around the Lakeside High School attendance zone area that would reach from North Druid Hills Road to west Tucker.

The alliance said last week it has already raised about $7,000 of the roughly $30,000 it will need for a state-mandated cityhood study by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.
