State Politicos Join Cityhood Info Meeting in Oak Grove

The Briarcliff Woods East Neighborhood Association is holding the meeting at Oak Grove United Methodist Church on Monday at 7 p.m.

If you're interested in getting more information about possible cityhood movements in northern DeKalb County, you'll want to head to Oak Grove on Monday night.

The Briarcliff Woods East Neighborhood Association is hosting an informational meeting with several local politicos, including state Sen. Fran Millar and Rep. Tom Taylor, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church at 7 p.m.

The meeting is billed as merely a meeting about what it takes to incorporate, and a flier distributed said it will not details the pros and cons of incorporating in areas in northern DeKalb County.

That said, we've been following the gurgling cityhood movement in certain communities around here, including Sagamore Hills and North Briarcliff.
