Child Abuse Awareness Training

The DeKalb County Police Department is inviting the public to participate in upcoming child abuse awareness training, according to a statement by spokeswoman Mekka Parish.

The Department is partnering with the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy to host the class in recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The aim of the free three-hour course is to educate community members on how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Participants must register prior to the training at prevention@gacfca.org or by phone (678) 904-2880 x 205.
