International Walk to School Day

Prizes and treats for any students who walk, bike, or scooter to school (bus riders and car sharers will be acknowledged again on future Wednesdays).  Even if you usually do not walk, consider participating!  If you live too far away to walk the entire way, or don’t have the time, you can park on a nearby street (such as Evansdale, Doroco, or Townley) and walk from there.  NOTE:  park only on the side of the street closest to the school to keep all pedestrians safer.

State Representative, Scott Holcomb, will lead a Walking School Bus. You can meet him at Doroco and Northbrook at 7:20am and walk with him to school.

There is also an ongoing Walking School Bus from the Lonestar area. You can meet up with them at Briarglen and Greenrock - 7:25am.

And you might want to comb your hair that day – there will be filming for the Healthy Living movie, and there might even be local press attending.
