Grocer Raising Money for Briarlake Elementary Gardens
Whole Foods Market on Briarcliff Road will give 5 percent of net sales to the school Sept. 21.
is holding a 5% Day to benefit a school garden at . On Wednesday, Sept. 21, 5 percent of the store’s net sales will be donated to the school to help build round "fraction" gardens, an outdoor gardening teaching table, and a free standing raised bed for students in wheelchairs and with physical challenges.
Special child-friendly events will take place throughout the day, including:
- 2:30pm – Free reusable better bag with goodies to the first 30 kids
- 3pm - 5pm – The Great Shampoo Swap – Bring any conventional kids shampoo to the Whole Body department and we will swap it out for a bottle of Kiss My Face Shampoo (no parabens, no artificial colors or frangrances).
- 3:30pm – Interactive Kids Demo – Make your own trail mix
- Free samples and kid tastings throughout the store
