Heavy Rains Leak Through Hawthorne Elementary's Roof
No one was injured after school officials discovered the leak this morning, a DeKalb County School System spokeswoman said.
Labor Day's heavy rains caused 's roof to leak, forcing the school to hold this morning's classes in the gym and cafeteria, a DeKalb County School System spokeswoman said.
No one was injured after pooled rainwater on the roof, which is under construction, dripped on the school's hallway floor, said Joye Burton, school system spokeswoman.
All students were back into classrooms by lunch, she said.
