Immaculate Heart of Mary School Grandmother Picks Up Tabs to Help Others

The Catholic school collects beverage can pull taps to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

When student Olivia Bily’s grandmother, Helen Makowski, learned Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School collects beverage can pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, she went into action.

She asked all of her neighbors to collect their tabs. Then she packed them up and shipped them to Olivia from her home in New York. The package weighed more than 10 pounds! Carmen Graciaa, the school’s director of faith formation, delivered them to the Ronald McDonald House.

The school collects beverage can pull tabs year round to help support Ronald McDonald House Charities.
