International Community School to Host Documentary Screening

The Medlock Park charter school is the subject of "A Place in the World," a documentary.

Medlock Park's International Community School will host a screening next weekend of A Place in the World, a documentary that chronicles the school and its diverse study body.

The screening will be held in the school cafeteria Saturday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., according to the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association. See the MANA post for more details.

The movie's website says the film "follows three families with ties to the school, a first-year teacher, and the new principal of the school over the course of two years, as they adapt to, and learn from, this diverse and complex social environment. The film asks the question of whether we can learn to live together in this rapidly changing world."

Adam Maurer and William Silva Reddington are the directors.
