Lakeside High Alerts Community to Valhalla Scammer

Someone has been approaching people in the school community saying he's raising money for the school's construction fund. It's a scam.

is telling local residents to beware of a man approaching people in the school's neighborhood to sell coupon books – books that he said are raising money for the school's Valhalla Project, an ambitious fundraising program for new construction.

Problem is, no one's selling coupon books to raise money for the fundraiser.

The school's PTSA is asking parents to help spread the word that coupon books are not part of the Valhalla Project fundraising program, which seeks to raise about $1.5 million to improve school facilities ranging from a new artificial turf, multi-use sports field to new bleachers and improved lighting for athletics fields.
