The power has been restored and classes have resumed at Lakeside High Shool after a temporary outage on Monday morning.
Principal Jason Clyne sent the following letter to parents on Monday around 10 a.m.:
Dear Lakeside Families, As you may have heard, Lakeside did not have full power this morning when the staff arrived. However, power has now been restored to the building.
Classes have not been cancelled today. Students are now in 1st period and instruction is occurring. If your student is texting you to pick him/her up, please do not come check him/her out. Classes have resumed.
Please speak with your students about the way they communicate in an emergency. If this had been an actual emergency, the school would have communicated the message and any instructions needed to check out your child.
