New School Board Leaders Invited to Northlake Community Alliance Annual Meeting
The NCA's annual meeting will be May 23 at Briarlake Baptist Church.
District 4 Board of Education member and vice chair Jim McMahon, and Super District 8 board member Karen Wheel-Carter have been confirmed for the Northlake Community Alliance (NCA)'s annual meeting on May 23, according to the group's website.
"They will talk about what they are doing to correct the problems that lead to SACS placing it on Probation, and to get the DeKalb School system back on top" according to NCA's site.
NCA also has invited interim DeKalb school superintendent Michael Thurmond.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. May 23 in the back lot building of Briarlake Baptist Church.
