Sophia Academy Student's Artwork Showcased in New York City

Eighth-grader Jackson Carter's "Owl at Night" was shown on an LED screen on 6th Avenue early last month.

’s Fine Arts Director Tracey Buot was invited by the National Art Education Association to select one piece of outstanding student art to be shown on a very special slideshow for the National Convention. She selected a stunning piece of art by eighth-grader Jackson Carter. Carter's "Owl at Night" is done in oil pastel and permanent marker.

Jackson's fantastic masterpiece was part of a slideshow exclusively featuring outstanding student artwork. The slideshow was displayed on a 30' x 16' LED screen located on New York City's 6th Avenue between 29th and 30th streets and ran between from March 2-3.
