The Heath Hinton era at Lakeside High School got off to a slow start on Friday night as the Vikings dropped their season opener 28-14 against Holy Innocents’ in a game played at Riverwood High School.

The Golden Bears took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and while Lakeside rallied to tie the game at 7-7, the Vikings played from behind for much of the game. First-year coach Hinton will next lead the Vikings on the field in a Sept. 6 game versus Dunwoody at Adams Stadium.
