Lakeside Football Coach: 'We Have Our Work Cut Out for Us'

The Vikings look to recover from a 1-8 record last year.

Lakeside's football season starts next month, and new varsity Head Coach Heath Hinton said he's kept his team in shape over the summer so they're ready to compete in one of the toughest regions in the state.

β€œWe have our work cut out for us and we have to make sure we’re getting better every week and prepared to play our kind of football. The kids have worked hard, pushed it in the weight room and it will pay off,” he told Neighbor Newspapers last week.

The Vikings finished last year's season 1-8 and won its only game against Dunwoody, 28-14, on Sept. 12, according to GPB Sports.
