Big Woodpecker Goes to Work on Mailbox in Sargent Hills

Again, a big woodpecker decided it liked a mailbox, and there's video of it.

Sargent Hills resident Jamie Murdoch captured a quick video of a big woodpecker working on a mailbox in that neighborhood.

We don't really have much to add, so we'll end the story there...

Actually, wait. Some neighbors on Facebook offered some tips so you can avoid this sort of thing if you happen to have a particularly attractive wooden mailbox post.Β

I'm a big bird nerd. If you want to discourage the woodpecker from eating your carpenter bees (both will destroy wooden objects) you can place a milar balloon near where the bird is feasting. Birds perceive moving reflection as a predator.
