State Rep. Jacobs Lowers the Boom on DeKalb Government
Popularity of proposed cities seems to be growing. Here's the most recent development by an activist state representative near you.
State Rep. Mike Jacobs, who represents parts of Briarcliff/Clairmont, Chamblee and Brookhaven (quite an amalgam) has queried "Brookhaven" about the possibility of incorporating an area into some kind of jurisdiction that is less controlled by DeKalb County. The possibilites are wide open, but include a new city and annexation into Dunowoody or Chamblee.
In an article in the AJC, he made a startling comment for a sitting legislator – one that many residents have made but no public leader would voice. Here's the article:
