Week Ahead: School, Charter Cluster Vote, Stories and More

A look at the week ahead in and around the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area:

1. The first day of school in DeKalb County: Monday. (Also known as today.) If you forgot, you may feel you're a terrible parent. But you can recover. Get your child to school now.
   
2. Druid Hills Charter Cluster vote: Tuesday. If you've got a child who is attending or will eventually attend Druid Hills High School, you've got an opportunity this month to vote on whether the high school and all its feeder schools can become a state-approved charter cluster.
3. First Century Center annexation court hearing: Wednesday at 3 p.m. DeKalb County Courthouse 5-C.
4. Stories on the Square - August show - Firsts: Tuesday. Stories on the Square is an open mic performance where we tell stories from all walks of life. Stories are 7 min or less and the rules are simple - no rants, politics or stand up.  Come join us! 
5. Hess Academy Family Breakfast: Thursday. Come celebrate the new school year with us.
