Weekend Planner: Art on the Town, Fall Day Hiking Basics at REI

Check out what's happening in and around North Druid Hills this weekend.

Art on the Town: Town Brookhaven invites you to “Fall into Art” at an outdoor Artists Market presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces featuring 30 local artists and artisans on the greenspace entry to Town Brookhaven.  The event will be held for 3 consecutive weekends in September and include acoustic music by local performers.  The event is free to attend.

Fall Day Hiking Basics: Planning an escape to cooler temperatures and fall colors on a day-hike? Join the REI team on Saturday at 2 p.m. and learn about trip planning, essential items, safety precautions, and local resources and places to go. Pebble Tossers Fundraiser event: Visit HippoHopp on Friday, Sept. 6, and say that you are there to support PebbleTossers and 25 percent of what you spend will be donated to support all of the community good that PebbleTossers has been doing in and around Atlanta. 

Bank of America's Museums on Us: Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can ring in the school year with free admission this weekend to Atlanta History Center and High Museum of Art.

Buckhead Community Recycling Event: Bring your old electronics, #6 styrofoam, paper for shredding or recycling, latex paint, single stream recycling  (cardboard, tin/aluminum cans, paper, plastics 1-7), and metals* to our Buckhead Recycling Center on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
