Weekender: Spanish Wine Tasting; Free FitWit Workout

Spanish Wine Tasting at Sprig: Join Sprig at 2860 Lavista Road, Decatur, for the monthly wine tasting this Saturday starting at 4 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 404-351-0870. Here is a sampling of the four-course menu: Pork Belly, Arugula & Caviar w/ Zuccardi Vida Organica for the gathering and Ceviche in a Tostone Cup served w/ Nieto Torrontes for the first course.

Kids on a Mission: Shallowford Church is hosting an event on Friday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at 2375 Shallowford Road for children to help make shoe-size cards to help the process of distributing donated shoes to the students who them, at Indian Creek Elementary in Clarkston, GA. 

Free Fitwit Workout: Join Gabe for a free FitWit workout at our new North Druid Hills location on Saturday, Sept. 14 at  the campus of Clairmont Presbyterian Church at 1994 Clairmont Road. Open to ALL fitness levels.  Please bring a towel/mat and water.

Community Picnic with Food Trucks: Everyone is invited to a Sunday afternoon picnic with Food Trucks on Sept. 15, 4-7 p.m. at Oak Grove UMC Church, 1722 Oak Grove Road, Decatur. Bring blankets or chairs. Enjoy the offerings from the Food Trucks or bring your own picnic. Lots of fun for families of all ages. Live music and games.

Mission Impossible Gardening- Grow Everywhere!: Join Mary Hines on Saturday at 1 p.m. at 435 Oakview Road, Decatur to learn about choosing plants and ground covers for the most inhospitable environments: bogs, deep shade, hard-packed dry clay, slopes, and high-traffic areas.
