I want to express the gratitude to their staff. All of them went above and beyond to comfort our family during this trying time. They always have my gratitude.

Early on in the planning of my Father’s Home Going, we had the most helpful and polite member of your staff, Mr. Rick Peterson assisting us with making difficult decisions and arrangements. He was very sensitive to each of our needs, calm and he allowed us to spend as much time as we needed to finalize service plans. The entire time we were there, he provided more than adequate customer service. My sister, Terreshia Black and myself experienced the worst unexpected tragedy in our lives in May of 2012 and being free of concern and discomfort during the process of laying our Father to rest was extremely easing to us both.

I wanted to send you this message to tell you that you have great employees there serving the people in our community. We have thanked them repeatedly for their service, but it’s important to us that the message gets beyond them and to someone in authority.

Please continue providing families experiencing loss; a caring staff to meet their most delicate needs. It goes a very long way!

May God bless your business and your employees.

Sincerely and appreciatively,

Sheree Mathis and Terreshia Black

I agree with Ms. Banks. I am sorry for her loss. When my loved one died in a car wreck in 2006, I got similar treatment. The person who worked with us was rude, curt and difficult. Turner's representative was very assertive and took advantage of us during a very difficult and emotional time. In addition, his graphic comments about "fixing the body" were unnessesary and hurtful. In my opinion, stay away from this place.

I couldn't be more upset or disappointed with this miserably unprofessional outfit.
My mother died yesterday, after a long illness, in my home, surrounded by family. No one can wish for better. We are new in the area and didn't know any place else, so we called Turner.
2 people arrived to take the body. The guy muttered "Sorry for your loss", the woman never spoke a word. (He was the LAST Turner employee to express ANY condolences whatsoever.)
I went to Turner to sign papers the next day, but they REFUSED to honor my mother's wish to be cremated, because, despite notarized documents giving me complete control (Durable POA, Advance Directive, Assignation of Agent) they said that since it did say "cremation" anywhere, they'd have to bury her. Long story short (I don't get much room), even after consulting with my lawyer, who assured me we were in the right, Turner refused to comply. Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Cobb County is picking up her body now, and will comply with my mother's fully documented wishes, while I investigate the agency which oversees GA funeral homes.
