<p>Druid Hills Middle School is part of the DeKalb County School System. It is a neighborhood school surrounded by homes and wooded lots. The school used to be a high school before it was switched to a middle school in 1996. It was also named an International Baccalaureate school in 2008. Its mascot is the dragon.</p> <p>The school was formerly known as Shamrock Middle School until the DeKalb County Board of Education voted in 2011 to change the name.</p>
