Beer Growler Nation Pledges to Give Back Each Month

The Oak Grove shop said it plans to partner with a charity or organization dedicated to a specific cause each month.

Beer Growler Nation to Celebrate Grand Opening

The Saturday party will include live music and tastings from local restaurants.

On Saturday Nov. 17, Beer Growler Nation in Oak Grove will celebrate its grand opening from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. with special beers, live music, food tastings, giveaways and more. Plus, a portion of each growler purchase will go to benefit PAWS Atlanta. The event will feature live music from Sweetwater Creek Band (noon - 4 p.m.) and Shook Foil (4 p.m. - 8 p.m.). Food demonstrations and tastings will be provided by Sprig Restaurant, Pine Street Market, Scott Stroud from The Cheese Course and Frozen Pints Ice Cream. And some prominent local residents have signed up to help us guest pour throughout the day. With Permit Approved, Oak Grove Beer Growler Moves Forward

DeKalb County approved a special land use permit for Beer Growler Nation this week, and the anticipated shop now seeks a building permit.

Good news for craft beer fans in Oak Grove. Beer Growler Nation got its special use land permit from the county this week, and the anticipated shop is now seeking its building permit, the company announced on its Facebook page this week. The shop told users on the site it's shooting for a mid-August opening.

Who Plans to Check Out Oak Grove's New Beer Growler Shop?

Beer Growler Nation is looking at a mid-August opening, according to the store's Twitter account.

Ready to purchase massive jugs of craft beer? Oak Grove's new Beer Growler Nation is set to open in that little idyllic downtown nexus they've got going with The Grove and Carolyn's Cupcake and Fellini's Pizza and whatnot. (2749 Lavista Rd. to be exact.) The beer shop recently received its Special Land Use Permit from DeKalb County, and they've got "two more hurdles" left with Planning Commission before they can open, hopefully in mid-August, according to the shop's Twitter page. What is a beer growler shop you might ask? Well, according to the shop's page: It's your one stop shop for craft beer, hard cider and tasty root beer available to-go in growlers.
