Briarcliff Dentists: No Matter What, We'll Continue to Serve Community

Eisenberg & Bogdanoff Cosmetic & Family Dentistry said they plan to stay in the area even if they're forced out of their office and replaced by a new McDonald's restaurant.

Two Briarcliff dentists said Monday they will continue to serve the community even if they're pushed out of their office of nearly three decades to make way for a McDonald's restaurant. Eisenberg & Bogdanoff Cosmetic & Family Dentistry posted to North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch to say that they're not involved in McDonald's plans to open a location at 2706 Clairmont Road adjacent to Briarcliff Shopping Center. McDonald's Going for Second Clairmont Location

The international fast food chain plans to open a new spot with a drive-thru window across from Briarcliff Shopping Center.

After announcing plans to replace the old Atlanta Diner on North Druid Hills Road, McDonald's said they also hope to open a new restaurant with a drive-thru window across from Briarcliff Shopping Center – the international fast food chain's second location on Clairmont Road. From Tomorrow's News Today, which first reported this story: A preliminary meeting about the planned McDonald's was held earlier this week and was attended by both homeowners and representatives from McDonald's. As it stands now, McDonald's is expected to file paperwork in the coming days requesting a special land use permit to enable them to have the drive-thru windows they need for the restaurant.  If all goes well, this request will be heard at the next Community …

They scheduled the zoning meeting the same day and time as the Community Council meeting in Decatur. Are they trying to cut the amount of people attending by doing on that day?   more ›
