Children's Healthcare Moving Into Old 19-Story Hotel

The company bought the aging building for $9.6 million.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is moving into one of North Druid Hills' bigger, unofficial landmarks. The company, which operates numerous children's hospitals in the metro Atlanta area, paid $9.6 million for the 19-story high-rise – known at one point as the Executive Park Motor Hotel – at 1447 Northeast Expressway and North Druid Hills Road, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle. From the Jan. 3 story: The purchase of the hotel is part of the overall development plan for that park, said Children’s Healthcare spokeswoman Patty Gregory. Exactly how the building will be used, or what functions Children’s Healthcare will house there, is still uncertain, Gregory said. Im hope its for the better I was suprise the Building was still up I was security there between 2006-2007. I thought it was gona be renovated then because the Pattni Group Bought it i there was a rendering showing it was supposed to be a sheraton.
