Regional Gas Pipeline Project Moves Into Area
Atlanta Gas Light will be working in the area this year and next as part of a 15-year project to replace parts of its natural gas pipeline.
Atlanta Gas Light is installing a new pipeline in DeKalb County that will cut through the North Druid Hills area – work that has already begun in the Medlock area. Crews just started work on Wood Trail Lane in Medlock, according to the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association, which has posted a useful breakdown of the project. It's called the Eastside Pipeline Project, and it will connect Atlanta Gas Light's Riverdale liquified natural gas facility in Clayton County with a connection point in the company's transmission system at the intersection of Clairmont Road and Buford Highway – a 28-mile distance.
