About $5K in jewelry robbed from Wendland Drive home Roughly $5,000 in jewelry was stolen from a Wendland Drive home near Oak Grove recently, DeKalb County police said. The homeowners said they were out of town for a week and returned to their home in the 2800 block of Wendland Drive on Sunday, the police report said. The woman's clothes were tossed on the floor, and the jewelry was stolen from eyeglass cases in the bedroom dresser. Two men robbed at gunpoint on Buford Highway Two men walking down Buford Highway were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, DeKalb County police said. The victims, a 27-year-old and a 19-year-old, were walking south in the highway's 3200 block when they were approached by three suspects shortly after midnight, the police report said. The first suspect pushed the barrel of his gun into the 27-year-old's stomach and said, "Give me your money or I will kill you," and pointed the gun at his face. The victim gave the suspect $30. A second suspect pointed a white gun at the 19-year-old victim, and he handed over his cell phone and $30. The suspects fled as an arriving officer witnessed the incident. Man fires pistol at car in Red Roof Inn's parking lot A man fired several shots at a car he fled in the Red Roof Inn's parking lot on North Druid Hills Road early Sunday morning, witnesses told DeKalb County police. Two tenants said they saw a man firing a pistol at a car in the lot at 1960 North Druid Hills Road shortly after 4am, the police report said. One witness said he saw the suspect get out of a silver vehicle and run away while shooting at people inside. The silver car fled, running a red light at the intersection of North Druid Hills Road and Buford Highway and then stopped at a nearby gas station momentarily before it left for I-85, and the witness lost sight of the car.
