The robbery at the Park at Briarcliff apartment complex occurred Tuesday afternoon.
An Emory University student was robbed Tuesday afternoon when he opened his front door for two men who rushed into his apartment and forced him in a closet, DeKalb County police said. The 19-year-old student was in his Park at Briarcliff apartment in the 1400 block of Druid Valley Drive when he heard knocking at his door at about 5:30pm, the police report said. Without checking the peephole, he opened the door and two suspects rushed in and turned the victim around so his back was to them. "Turn around, go to the back and lay down," one suspect said. The victims were working in an apartment in the middle of the afternoon when they were robbed at the apartment complex Saturday.
A Clarkston man and his teen son working in an apartment in the Park at Briarcliff were robbed at gunpoint Saturday, DeKalb County police said. The 13-year-old son, who works with his father for a home repair service, was with his father, repairing an apartment bathroom at about 4:20pm, the police report said. The teen said he was in the hallway watching his father when he heard a noise at the front door. When he turned around, he was face to face with the suspect who was pointing a silver handgun. Several men dragged a woman across the ground and stole her purse in the Park at Briarcliff apartment complex April 3, DeKalb County police said – just hours after a worker at that complex was robbed with a stun gun. The 25-year-old woman said she was crossing the parking lot at the complex, 1493 Druid Valley Dr., when five men approached her, the police report said. The thieves made away with a two-way radio from a man who works at the Park at Briarcliff apartment complex.
Two robbers used a stun gun to steal an expensive two-way radio from an apartment complex worker Tuesday afternoon, DeKalb County police said. The 55-year-old victim, an employee of the Park at Briarcliff apartment complex, 1486 Willow Lake Dr., was walking down the sidewalk near the complex's 1400 building when two suspects used a stun gun on him at about 4:10pm, the police report said. The worker fell to the ground, cutting his head, and the suspects took his radio after he attempted to call for help. They also stole the keys to his vehicle. According to other employees who came to the worker's aid, the two men beat him in the head repeatedly and the worker now requires two metal plates in his head. Absolutely disgusting and senseless crime. more ›
