Sprig Owners Eyeing Second Restaurant Location in Old Town Lilburn

The owners say they are "98 percent" sure they're opening the new location.

The owners of an Oak Grove restaurant are strongly considering opening a second location in the building formerly occupied by Blue Rooster Café & Bakery in Old Town Lilburn. Patch recently learned from Anthony and Jennifer Tiberia, who run Sprig restaurant on Lavista Road, that the duo is the newest contender in an ongoing quest to fill the vacant spot. "We definitely want to," said Anthony Tiberia. "We love the space." If the deal goes through, the Tiberias said they could open a Lilburn Sprig in the spring -- at the earliest. No contract has been signed, and the cost of moving into the vacant Blue Rooster space is still being mulled over. But Anthony Tiberia said he and his wife are "98 percent" sure they'll be moving in. Want to Be on TV? Head to Sprig Wednesday

CBS' "Atlanta Eats" TV show will be filming at the Oak Grove restaurant Wednesday evening.

This might be a good way to end up on the nightly news without committing a crime or causing a highway pile-up: Head to Sprig restaurant in Oak Grove on Wednesday. CBS Atlanta's Atlanta Eats will be filming inside the Lavista Road restaurant between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and the restaurant is asking its customers to stop by if they want to record testimonials or enjoy the buzz of filming. Hosted by Steak Shapiro, Atlanta Eats is a weekly 30-minute TV program that offers local restaurant and food content. The show airs Saturdays at noon on CBS Atlanta and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. on PeachtreeTV.

Sprig Chef Cooks Sliders for Fox News, Offers Recipes

The Oak Grove restaurant cooked for the network's Atlanta morning show on Wednesday.

If you want to learn how to make sliders just like Sprig restaurant, you've got a shot now. Chef Britt Cloud went on Fox 5's morning show in Atlanta and cooked sliders on the show. The Fox post has video and recipes. Here's one of the recipes: Lamb Slider 1 lb.         Ground Lamb 2 tsp.       Cinnamon 1tsp.        Cumin ½ tsp.      Cayenne ½ tbsp.    Garlic 2 tbsp.     Mint, chopped                 Salt & Pepper (to taste) 7 oz.        Pickled Curried Carrot Ribbons 7 ea         Slider Bun 1.    Combine meat gently with spices, garlic and mint. Do not overwork the ground lamb, it will get tough. 2.    Make divide lamb into 7 equal portions and form patties. 3.    Grill until cooked through (165 deg) 4.    Toast the buns on the grill cut …

The Oak Grove restaurant is offering 20 percent off on Monday to members of Emory's 2012 graduating class.

If you're a member of Emory's 2012 graduating class, Sprig is giving graduates a break on Monday before they enter the bleak workforce. The popular Oak Grove restaurant is offering grads 20 percent off lunch and dinner. Its doors opened in October 2010. The locally owned, Spring Restaurant and Bar is a Chef-Driven-Scratch Kitchen. Napoleon's Wins Best Mother's Day Brunch Poll

The popular Oak Grove resident bested Sprig in this week's Readers' Choice poll.

Napoleon's won today its second North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch Readers' Choice award, claiming the community's best Mother's Day brunch. The popular Oak Grove restaurant bested Sprig in a tight voting contest.  Napoleon's is an upscale pub featuring a diverse, expansive menu. It offers 16 craft beers on tap, 50 varieties of bottled beer, a full bar and 14 wines by the glass (with a reserve wine list of 15 bottles). In addition, the restaurant offers a huge projection screen for viewing sporting events, as well as lots of table seating. There is a small outdoor seating area as well.
