GDOT has indicated that repairs will likely extend through midday Wednesday. Work will continue nonstop until completion and updates will be forthcoming as warranted.
Workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the I-85 SB roadway. Motorists are requested to avoid the area if at all possible and to drive slowly, exercising extreme caution in this work zone. - Hunt Archbold

Two lanes of Interstate 85 South just north of Clairmont Road will be closed at least until Tuesday while transportation crews work on emergency repairs to the road.
The HOV lane and lane next to it will remain closed possibly longer than Tuesday while GDOT crews work to repair a failed drainage structure, according to GDOT.
Repair crews will work around the clock to fix the road. However, motorists may want to take alternate routes for their Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning commutes.
