6 Family Yard Sale and Massey Donation

This morning (06/25), the Massey family was displaced from their home.  A fire was detected around midnight and forced out the family.

The Massey family has been a source of positivity for our street and neighborhood.

Please help out the Massey by donating online and donating at the yard sale.

There interest in helping others and providing action to help others has provided the key foundational elements necessary for a neighborhood to be a community.

This Saturday, from 9am-2pm, six households in the ‘Sagamore Foothills’ will be hosting their first multi-family yard sale. Each sale will be at that person’s driveway.  Please note the addresses on the attached flyer.

About a year ago, 43 individuals said yes, they wanted to be included in a group that identified themselves as a connected community.

Approximately one hundred 1950’s era homes are in the no-man zone of neighboring home owner associations.  Our neighborhood butts right against Sagamore Hills and Briarcliff Woods, and across the street from Druid Hills group.  For whatever reason, our group of homes was never included in any of these groups.

Since acknowledging our civic isolation, we have started to share joys, neighborhood events, and try to promote a true sense of community though activities and conversation.  This will be our largest coordinated activity to date.

I hope that you all will be able to visit the sale, find some good deals, and enjoy your time in our neighborhood.

Please donate:
All cash goes to the Massey Family
