Everyone can learn to knit or crochet! The public is invited to come and hone their skills or teach a beginner. Call or email for info about what supplies to bring.- What makes a shawl a Prayer Shawl? The shawl maker begins with prayers and blessings for the recipient as he or she knits or crochets a simple shawl. The intentions continue throughout the shawl’s creation. At its completion, the Prayer Shawl receives a final blessing.
- Shallowford Presbyterian Church has a Prayer Shawl Ministry –volunteers who create prayer shawls that are given to show the care and concern of God and the Shallowford Presbyterian Church family. Volunteers knit Prayer Shawls on a continuing basis and give them freely to those in need.
