Help Sought in Finding Bank Suspect

PNC Bank robbed on Briarcliff across from Northlake Mall.

Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a man suspected in the Tuesday morning robbery of PNC Bank, 4855 Briarcliff Road, across the street from Northlake Mall, according to multiple media reports.

The lone suspect reportedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at a teller before jumping over the counter and taking money from teller drawers, CBS Atlanta reported.

According to The AJC, the suspect was a black man in his late 30s or early 40s wearing a black shirt, khaki or tan pants, a brown hat and sunglasses. Multiple media reports said he appeared to have some kind of padding stuffed in his shirt and something stuffed in his mouth possibly to alter his appearance.

Authorities asked anyone with information about the robbery to contact DeKalb police at 770-724-7890 or the FBI Atlanta office at 404-679-9000.
