North Druid Hills Road CVS Robbed at Gunpoint Dec. 9

A suspect with a handgun took more than $200 from two people in the store, DeKalb County police said.

The at 2830 North Druid Hills Road was robbed at gunpoint Dec. 9, DeKalb County police said.

A witness was working at the front cashier area when a suspect held out a small black automatic handgun and demanded money from the register at about 11:30pm. Another witness walked behind the counter, initially unaware of what was happening. Both witnesses complied, though, giving more than $200 to the suspect.

No injuries were reported and video surveillance may be available, the witnesses said. The Major Felony Unit will handle further investigation. Officers looked for the suspect nearby but did not locate him.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 40s or 50s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing an olive military style field jacket, dark jeans and a dark skull cap.
